Sato's apartment entrance
In *Welcome to the N.H.K.*, the entrance of the apartment building where the protagonist Tatsuhiro Sato lives—a grayish-white two-story building with an exterior staircase leading to the second floor. In the later part of the story, he often stands at this door lost in thought about his future, and has a significant conversation with his neighbor Misaki Nakahara here.
