Inside the station
In "Welcome to the N.H.K.", near the end of the story, Satou Tatsuhiro and Nakahara Misaki confront each other on a station platform. Under the night lights, Misaki attempts to jump onto the tracks, but Satou pulls her back. The two have their final conversation on the empty platform, with the steel canopy overhead and the rumble of an approaching train in the distance.
