Waiting at the Station Concourse
In "5 Centimeters Per Second", the boy Takaki is transferring trains during his journey and waits in a station concourse. The scene shows large circular pillars lining the concourse; he leans against one, staring at the heavy snow falling outside through the windows, clutching a letter for Akari. The waiting area benches are empty, and only occasional delay announcements echo.
