Iwafune Station Platform 2 Bench
In *5 Centimeters per Second*, during the first episode, Takaki arrives at a rural station in the dusk. There is only a lonely bench on the platform. Light snow falls. He sits on the bench waiting, and soon Akari appears. They sit together, talking about their lives and future anxieties. Behind the bench, there are empty fields and distant mountains, under the dim yellow light of the platform canopy.
