Railroad crossing of passing by and distant tower
In the third chapter of *5 Centimeters per Second*, the male protagonist Takaki Tono and the female protagonist Akari Shinohara pass by each other at a snowy railroad crossing. After a train passes, Takaki turns around but finds Akari has disappeared into the crowd, leaving only an empty street, with a red-and-white tower standing out against the gloomy sky in the background.
