Slope and Railway
In *5 Centimeters per Second*, towards the end of the story, protagonist Takaki Tōno walks alone on an uphill road alongside a railway. On the right are gray guardrails and electrified tracks, on the left are residential houses. He wears a black suit with a faint sorrowful expression. In the distance, the silhouette of a railway bridge and a station building can be seen. This is the scene that appears as the ending song "One more time, One more chance" plays.
