Kanda River Riverside Cherry Blossom Path
In 5 Centimeters per Second, the protagonist Takaki Tōno walks alone along a riverside path during cherry blossom season. One side of the path is a gently flowing river, the other is lined with blooming cherry trees, with petals drifting into the water. A low bridge spans the river in the distance, and Takaki's figure appears especially solitary amidst the falling petals.
