Main Gate of Nakatane High School (old)
In *5 Centimeters per Second*, during the second chapter, a summer evening. The heroine Kanae and the protagonist Takaki walk out of the school gate together. Kanae pushes her bicycle, walking side by side with Takaki, pausing briefly at the gate. The shot shows the old concrete gate posts of the school, lined with lush trees on both sides, bathed in the setting sun. Kanae watches Takaki's figure recede along the slope, her unspoken words lingering in her heart.
