Ōmiya Station Platform 8
In the first chapter "Cherry Blossom" of *5 Centimeters per Second*, the young boy Takaki and the girl Akari part ways on the platform of a certain station. At dusk, orange light spills over the platform as a train slowly pulls in. After a brief exchange, Takaki boards the train, and Akari waves goodbye from the platform until the train disappears. The platform depicted in this scene—its signboards, canopy structure, and track layout—is modeled after a real platform on the same line.
