Railroad Crossing Back View
In '5 Centimeters per Second' (first chapter), Takaki walks alone along a residential street in the evening. He approaches a railroad crossing with the barrier down. A train passes by at high speed, and across the tracks is an empty street. Takaki stands there, watching the train disappear, wind blowing his hair and clothes, with cherry blossom petals falling in the air.
