In *5 Centimeters per Second*, on a winter evening, a local train stops at a country station covered in snow. Inside the car, the young boy Takaki Tono anxiously looks out the window, thinking of his promise with Akari. The platform is nearly empty, the dusk deepens, and the train stays for a long time while snow falls silently.
