Cherry Blossom Slope
In *5 Centimeters Per Second*, the young male and female protagonists walk side by side up a gentle slope. On the left side of the road stands a row of blooming cherry trees, while on the right are low residential walls and utility poles. Pale pink petals drift in the wind, sunlight filters through the branches casting dappled shadows, and the two walk slowly in the tranquil atmosphere.
