In *Tamako Love Story*, Tamako's family runs a traditional Japanese confectionery shop called 'Tama-ya' on this covered shopping street. The shop has a noren curtain and a rabbit mascot outside; Tamako and her childhood friend Mochizou pass by it every morning on their way to school.
