Conversation on the Stairs
In CLANNAD ~After Story~, episode 10, Tomoya Okazaki and his daughter Ushio slowly walk up a long stone staircase in the evening. The setting sun stretches their shadows, and Ushio's small hand firmly holds her father's big one. The sides of the stairs are lined with dense greenery and residential walls. Tomoya occasionally stops, crouches down to Ushio's eye level, and gently teaches her the names of roadside flowers. This staircase carries the clumsy yet sincere emotional bond between father and daughter.
