In *Barakamon* episode 8, Seishū Handa is invited to be a substitute teacher for a day. He walks through the gate of this elementary school carrying his cloth bag, facing a sandy playground with a wooden school building in the background, while children's laughter fills the air. Beside the gate stands a large tree, under which several pairs of students' shoes are placed.
