Explorers' lunch spot
In Mai Mai Miracle, Shinko and her fellow explorers find a grassy spot under a tree by a clear river on a summer afternoon. They spread out their lunch boxes, sharing rice balls and pickles made by their mothers, while talking about legends of a thousand-year-old kingdom. In the distance, terraced rice fields and low hills stretch out, and the wind brings the scent of earth and grass.
