Alley beside the California Bar
In *Mai Mai Miracle*, the protagonist Shinko and her friends often pass through a narrow stone-paved alley that connects the bustling main street with the quiet residential area. On one side of the alley stands an old bar with an English sign, while the other side features traditional wooden houses. On summer afternoons, sunlight filters through the eaves, casting dappled shadows. Shinko once met the girl from a thousand years ago here, or played chase with her friends.
