Protagonist's House
In *Free!*, Haruka Nanase's house is a traditional Japanese home situated on a small hill near the coast. There are stone steps in front of the house, a shrine adjacent to it, and the area is surrounded by greenery with the sound of waves in the background. In the opening scene of the first episode, Haruka leaves his house and walks past the shrine on his way to school.
