Imadegawa Street
In "The Eccentric Family", Yasaburo's daily route to and from school is a wide avenue. The street is lined with tall ginkgo trees; on the north side, a continuous green wall and dense woods mark the boundary of an ancient palace or noble estate. In autumn, golden ginkgo leaves cover the sidewalk, filtering sunlight into dappled shadows. Yasaburo often walks here with his second brother or with Benten, discussing matters of tanuki and tengu.
