JR Shinjuku Station Platform
In "The Garden of Words", protagonist Takao Akizuki, in his school uniform, stands alone on the platform of an urban station. He gazes towards the end of the tracks, under a translucent arched canopy that partly obscures the overcast sky. In the distance, skyscrapers rise against the post-rain slanting sunlight. A train is about to arrive, with announcements mixing with the wind. This is a typical rainy after-school scene.
