In *The Garden of Words*, during the seemingly endless rainy season, the protagonist Takao escapes his morning troubles and finds shelter in an old wooden pavilion surrounded by lush greenery. As he steps under the eaves, a mysterious woman sits alone on a bench, drinking beer and eating chocolate – their fates intertwined from this moment.
