Tamako Market Episode 1 – Usagiyama Shopping District
In the opening minutes of *Tamako Market* Episode 1, the protagonist Tamako Kitashirakawa runs out of her family's mochi shop 'Tama-ya' and walks down the shopping street. On the left side of the frame appears a shop with a traditional cloth curtain and a wooden signboard, displaying several rows of dried bonito flakes in the window. A small bucket-like object sits on the ground near the entrance. This shop is located directly across from Tama-ya and is a katsuobushi (dried bonito) store in the Usagiyama Shopping District. Pay attention to the storefront and the retro atmosphere of the street—most buildings are two-story wooden structures, and banners of the shopping district hang from utility poles.
