Nakajima Honcho Rest House
In *In This Corner of the World*, the protagonist Suzu often comes to this small rest house by the river with her family or friends during wartime. The wooden benches and roof provide shade from the sun, and through the trees you can see the slow flow of the river, occasionally interrupted by the sound of warship horns in the distance. It is one of the places where Suzu briefly escapes her daily hardships and chats with companions.
