Kashima Grand Shrine entrance
In Ruri no Hōseki, episode 12, the main characters arrive at the entrance of an ancient shrine. The approach is paved with blue stone, flanked by tall evergreen trees, and a vermilion torii gate casts a clear shadow under the midday sun. They pause here, one of them reaching out to touch the torii pillar, as if feeling its history. The distant ringing of wind chimes blends with the rustling leaves.
