T-junction in front of Hoshino Motors
In *The Flowers of Evil*, after school, Takao Kasuga walks alone down a quiet street towards a T-junction. Beside the junction is a motorcycle repair shop with several bikes parked outside. Just as he is about to turn, he unexpectedly encounters his classmate Sawa Nakamura, who stands expressionless before him, as if the air itself freezes. The overcast sky and sparse houses create a tense, oppressive atmosphere.
