In *Edoman Elf*, after school, the shrine maiden of Takamimi Shrine walks home with her companion Koma-chan along a residential street leading to the shrine. The evening sun filters through scattered clouds, past rows of low houses with an occasional cat peeking over fences. They chat about everyday things as they pass a corner with a slightly tilted mailbox.
