Station Plaza
In "From the New World", at the beginning of the first episode, Saki, Satoru, Maria, and Shun gather in their summer uniforms in front of the ground-level exit of a station. The station square is paved, with a circular flowerbed in the center, surrounded by low-rise shops. They stand by the flowerbed, chatting. Saki complains they should have left earlier, while Satoru gazes at the distant sky. Sunlight filters through clouds, creating a lazy summer atmosphere.
