In *Goodnight Punpun*, the protagonist Punpun often crouches alone at the entrance of an old underground passage. The stairs descend into darkness, with walls covered in graffiti and damp moss, occasional light filtering through cracks. He once took shelter there with his childhood friend, and it became a place for him to cry, daydream, and escape reality.
