Long Escalator at Tokyo Station
In *Suzume*, Suzume and Souta emerge from the underground passage and step onto an unusually long escalator. Above them is a glass canopy letting in sunlight, with a view of dense skyscrapers outside. Suzume wears her school uniform, Souta is in a white shirt, and they stand silently as the escalator rises through the busy urban backdrop. This is part of their journey to find the "Ever-After" door in the city center.
