Tono's traditional Japanese house
In *The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbye*, the main character Kaoru Tono's house is a traditional Japanese home with tiled roof and wooden exterior. In front of the house, there is a narrow country road lined with trees, with vast fields and hills visible in the distance. A small porch on one side often holds a bicycle or daily items. In a key scene, Kaoru and Anzu Hanashiro talk here, or he departs from this spot to the mysterious tunnel.
