In *The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya*, this is the station Kyon passes through every day on his way to school. In the "Disappeared" world, he walks out from here and finds everything around him unfamiliar. The camera follows him down the steps in front of the station, with a convenience store on the left and a residential area stretching uphill ahead. The withered winter trees and overcast sky create a lonely atmosphere, contrasting with the usually bustling commute.
