Haru at the street corner
In *Tsuritama*, the self-proclaimed alien boy Haru stands alone at a street corner in a seaside town on a lazy afternoon. Unlike the others, he doesn't hold a fishing rod; his arms hang loosely by his sides as he curiously observes the old-fashioned lamppost and the distant sound of a tram bell on the tracks. Sunlight filters through the trees onto his blue hair, and a nearby vending machine glints faintly. This scene captures Haru's initial alienation and innocence on Earth, as he waits for a chance to blend into the town's daily life.

Visit notes
