In The Ambition of Oda Nobuna, an ancient stone tower stands on a street corner in Kyoto. The tower is weather-beaten, with slightly upturned eaves. The protagonist Yoshiharu Sagara and Oda Nobuna briefly paused here, looking toward the distant outline of a castle, surrounded by low wooden houses and cobblestone paths.
