The Prototype of the Bathhouse
In *Spirited Away*, when Chihiro first sees the bathhouse (Abura-ya), she is awed by the huge traditional building with vermilion railings, a high roof, and outdoor stairs. It is brilliantly lit at night, with a bridge crossing a river leading to the entrance. You are standing at the location that inspired this iconic structure.
