Mossy Forest
In *Princess Mononoke*, Ashitaka ventures into a deep, mystical primeval forest. The roots of ancient trees are covered in thick moss like a green carpet. Mist hangs in the air, sunlight filtering through the canopy creates patches of light. Forest spirits appear in tree hollows, and this moss-covered quiet corner is the domain of the Forest Spirit—the Shishigami.
