Kayashima
In *The Solitary Gourmet*, the protagonist Goro strolls through a quiet residential street and is drawn to a small shop with a noren curtain. He slides open the wooden door; inside, there is only a wooden counter and a few tables, with a simple menu on the wall. Goro orders the set meal special, eats heartily, and shows a satisfied expression. Outside the window is an ordinary streetscape, with occasional passersby.
