Toei Opening Sequence
In *Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time*, in a small cinema in Village 3, Shinji, Asuka, Mari, and others sit on red seats and watch the screen. The screen displays Toei's iconic opening animation: powerful waves crashing against black rocks against a gradient sunset sky, accompanied by familiar strings and brass music. It is a homage to early Japanese film projection culture.
