Mount Iō Trailhead
In *Heaven Burns Red*, during Chapter 3, the main characters hike up a trail on an active volcano. The air is thick with a pungent sulfur smell, the ground is covered with gray-black volcanic rock, and in the distance you can see white fumaroles and geothermal steam. They find a girl unconscious after being attacked by a monster and proceed to rescue her.
