Myōzen-ji
In *Higurashi: When They Cry*, this temple located on a hill in the village is one of the core settings of the story. A long stone staircase leads to the solemn hall, surrounded by quiet forest. The main characters participate in festivals here, and it is also the site of multiple tragic incidents. The pond and stone lanterns in front of the stairs are iconic features.
