In *Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater*, Hina and her friends often fish here. It is a concrete breakwater extending into the sea, its surface rough and covered with barnacles and seaweed. They sit on the edge, casting their lines into the calm water, with a wide sandy beach and distant hills behind them.
