Despair Teacher's Slope
In "Goku: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei", early in the second episode, there is a scene showing a very steep slope with residential houses on both sides. The slope has chain-link fences and utility poles. The teacher, Nozomu Itoshiki, is seen climbing the slope with a resigned expression, a common sight in the series. This slope appears frequently throughout the series and is one of its iconic locations.
