Steps of Amamiya Shrine
In *Natsume's Book of Friends*, Takashi Natsume passes these ancient stone steps every day on his way to and from school. The steps are surrounded by lush greenery, often showing him walking with his backpack, accompanied by Madara (Nyanko-sensei). Cherry blossoms fall in spring, cicadas sing in summer, red leaves cover the steps in autumn, and light snow dusts them in winter. This is one of the heartwarming everyday locations in the story.
