Stone Steps in Front of Temple Gate
In "Samurai Champloo" episode 10, the three protagonists climb a long stone staircase flanked by ancient trees. At the top stands an old wooden temple gate with a large white plaque hanging above. Inside the gate is a giant cedar tree and a serene temple courtyard. Here they encounter mysterious monks and a woman who uses poison.
