Alley and Girl
In *The Blue Island and One Cat*, the heroine frequently passes through a narrow alley. The alley is paved with stone slabs, lined with traditional wooden houses, and green ivy climbs on the walls. Sunlight filters through the gaps between eaves, casting dappled shadows. Occasionally, a calico cat can be seen crouching at the base of a wall. The heroine, in her school uniform, hurries through with her bag, sometimes stopping to play with the cat. This is the route she takes from home to school.
