In *AIR*, a small unmanned station built beside the coastline with only a single track line. The protagonist sits on a bench, gazing at the cargo ships on the distant horizon, while the sound of the train bell approaches from afar. This is the station where the girl Misuzu gets on and off every day for school, and it appears multiple times throughout the story as a place of partings and reunions.
