In Waiting in the Summer, the final episode features the farewell scene at a rural single-track railway station. The wooden station building with its weathered nameboard, the sunset casting long shadows on the platform, and an old vending machine at the end of the platform create a poignant atmosphere as Kaori Sayuki says goodbye to Kaito Kirishima.
