Under the Shopping Arcade
In "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas", the heroine Sakura pulls the hero Haruki through a shopping street with an arched canopy. They stop at an omikuji fortune-telling machine, where Sakura cheerfully draws a small paper fortune and shows the result with a laugh. Around them are clothing stores and a crêpe stand, with the sweet scent of pastry in the air, and lazy afternoon sunlight filtering through the arcade roof.
