In front of the Antarctic observation ship
In *A Place Further than the Universe*, the four main characters arrive at a harbor and see a huge white observation ship moored at the dock. They run excitedly toward it, gaze up at the towering hull, then carry their backpacks up the gangway, officially beginning their journey to Antarctica.
