Farewell on the Riverbank
In *Liz and the Blue Bird*, near the end, Mizore and Nozomi walk side by side along a riverbank after school. The setting sun tints the river gold. Nozomi stops and softly says, 'I like your oboe, Mizore.' Mizore pauses briefly, then smiles. They continue walking, part briefly at a curve, and turn back to wave to each other. In the background, a bridge silhouette and reeds along the bank are visible.
