In *Solitary Gourmet*, Goro Inogashira enters a tempura specialty shop with a noren curtain. The shop has only counter seats. He sits at a corner and orders a tempura set meal, watching the chef skillfully fry shrimp, squid, and vegetables right in front of him. The sizzling oil and the aroma fill the air, making him hungrier.
